During this retreat, participants will have opportunities to spend focused time in each of the four theme areas: Be in Worship,
Be in Relationship, Be in Play, Be in Solitude
.


There will be several stations for you to experience these themes in various ways. You can choose to spend your entire time at one station or move about through the different stations.

Remember, this is your time to reconnect with God.


Be in SOLITUDE
Solitude beckons us to enter into a more intimate time with God,
away from the cacophony of our busyiness.

Possible Stations:
• Sleep/rest
• Labyrinth
• Scriptural Reflection
• Praying
• Praying with beads
• “Wailing Wall”
• Journaling
• Outdoor Activities (weather permitting)
• Meditation  

Be in WORSHIP
Worship opens our hearts to experiencing God individually
and corporately.

Possible Stations:
• Altar
• Time with a Spiritual director
• Individual, yet Communal Art
• Prayer Room/Chapel
• Recommended Reading
• Labyrinth  

Being in RELATIONSHIP
Relationship is one way we experience God's transforming love
and grace in our lives and in the world around us.

Possible Stations:
• Letter writing
• Note writing
• Recognizing our Larger Community
• Theology of various songs
• Theology of various movies
• Time to get to know others
• Sharing Stories    

Be in PLAY
Play is our natural inclination to laugh, enjoy one another's presence,
and be rejuvenated with humor.

Possible Stations:
• Responsive Finger Painting
• Mandalas

• Board Games/Kids Games
• Massages
• Create Your “Soul Self”
• Crafts
• Yoga
• Outdoor Activities (weather permitting)

 
 

The Young Adult Sabbath Retreat is a ministry for and with young adults in the United Methodist Church. Any young adult is
invited to attend. The retreat is supported by the Division on Ministries with Young People of the General Board of Discipleship.
