Princeton Conference on Emerging Adulthood
November 4-6, 2010
Princeton Theological Seminary, Princeton, New Jersey
Young People's Ministries is offering $110 scholarships to this event for young adults and young adult leaders in the UMC. This scholarship makes the fee to attend only $50.00. All that is needed for someone to receive the scholarship is to contact Diane Coppock in our office at dcoppock@gbod.org BEFORE they register.
This conference offers current insights from research on the religious and spiritual worlds of Emerging Adults (ages 18 – 29) as well as theological reflection on this vital ministry of the church. Through lectures, electives, and conversation with peers in ministry, we will explore how the church might address the unique spiritual and religious needs of emerging adults. This is a great conference for leaders of Young Adults and Young Adults in ministry leadership.

Canoe lakes carved out of solid granite by the glaciers, hike portages used by generations before you, set up camp under a star studded sky, paddle peacefully along a pine-laden shoreline, look for the loons, eagles, fish (and bear and moose!), cook over an open campfire, marvel in the magnitude of God’s creation, share—songs, Scripture, stories, prayer, laughter—together. This is God’s country. Please note that this is a relatively vigorous wilderness experience requiring reasonable strength. No experience canoeing or camping is needed, but a sense of adventure is!
